for the shrimp
- 2 T old bay seasoning
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 t granulated garlic
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 t chili powder
- 1 t salt
- 24 extra large raw shrimp
for the cocktail sauce
- 1/2 C chili sauce
- 1 C ketchup
- 1 T horseradish
- 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 t hot sauce
- 1/2 clove garlic, minced
- 1 T cilantro
| - mix all the cocktail sauce ingredients in a small bowl and refrigerate
- prepare large bowl of ice water
- to a 8 qt pot of water, add the shrimp spices
- bring to a boil
- add the shrimp
- return to boil and the shrimp should be done
- immediately drain and place the shrimp into the ice bath
- peel the shrimp
- drain and serve with sauce
