Southwest Sauce
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 T crushed red pepper
  • 2 T black pepper
  • 1 T cayenne pepper
  • 4 T kosher salt
  • 2 T chile powder
  • 2 T hot sauce, preferably Tapatia
  • 2 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 T garlic powder
  • 2 T Dijon mustard
  • 1 pint cider vinegar
  • 3 T butter
  1. add all of the ingredients, except the butter, to a pan
  2. bring to a boil
  3. reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes
  4. melt in the butter and whisk together
  • can be served on the side at room temp, but its better hot right on top of your favorite chicken, pork, or beef
